Bad news for the AFBN - this season's first forfeit in Division 1 occurred today as Hilversum Hurricanes deemed it impossible to play the game in Maastricht due to unavailability of players and coaches who had booked long weekends away on this date which was originally not scheduled as a match day. This game had earlier been postponed due to a water-logged pitch in Maastricht in March. Maastricht gets the 20-0 win by default, while Hilversum are punished with a 2 point deduction as a result of late notice of the forfeit. |
